This Privacy Policy explains how Fit Tribe ("Fit Tribe", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit, use, or shop on fittribeeg.com, our social channels, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services"). For purposes of this Policy, "you" and "your" mean any user of the Services — customer, visitor, or anyone whose information we collect.

By using the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

Fit Tribe is an activewear brand based in Egypt.

2. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the tools we use, or for legal and regulatory reasons. When we update it, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is material, we'll also let you know by email or a notice on the Site.

3. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact details: name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, email.
  • Order information: products you buy, order history, payment confirmation, returns and exchange requests.
  • Account information: username, password, saved addresses, wishlist, communication preferences.
  • Customer support information: messages you send us via Instagram DM, WhatsApp, email, or our website chat — including any photos you share for return or exchange requests.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you've opted in to email or SMS marketing.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: the pages you view, products you click, items you add to cart or wishlist, time spent on the Site.
  • Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6 below.

Information we receive from third parties

  • Shopify, our e-commerce platform, processes data on our behalf so we can run the Site and your orders.
  • Payment processors and Cash on Delivery couriers share order, payment, and delivery confirmation data so we can process your purchase and any refunds.
  • Marketing and analytics partners share anonymized engagement data so we can measure and improve our marketing.
  • Social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) share data when you interact with us through their channels — e.g. clicking an ad, messaging us, or tagging us.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To fulfill your orders. Process payments, arrange delivery via courier partners, handle returns and exchanges, send order confirmations and tracking updates by email and SMS.
  • To create and manage your account. Save your details, addresses, wishlist, and order history so checkout is faster next time.
  • To provide customer support. Respond to questions on Instagram, WhatsApp, email, and our help center.
  • For marketing and personalization. Send promotional emails or SMS about new drops, sales, and restocks (only if you opt in), and tailor what you see on the Site, in our ads, and in your inbox.
  • For analytics and improvement. Understand which products, collections, and pages perform best so we can improve the experience.
  • For security and fraud prevention. Detect and prevent fraudulent orders, account takeovers, and abuse of the Services.
  • To meet legal obligations. Comply with Egyptian tax, consumer protection, and data protection law, and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

5. Who We Share Your Information With

We share your personal information with the following categories of third parties, only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Shopify Inc. — our e-commerce platform host. Shopify processes orders, customer accounts, and storefront data on our behalf. See Shopify's privacy practices at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Payment processors — to securely process card payments, Instapay transfers, Smart Wallet payments (Vodafone Cash, Orange Cash, Etisalat Cash, We Pay), and bank transfers.
  • Courier and last-mile delivery partners in Egypt — to deliver your order to your door and, where applicable, to collect Cash on Delivery payment.
  • Marketing and email/SMS service providers — to send you transactional emails, marketing campaigns, and abandoned-cart reminders if you've opted in.
  • Analytics providers (e.g. Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel) — to measure how the Site performs and how our ads convert.
  • Customer support tools (e.g. Shopify Inbox, Instagram and Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp Business) — to respond to your messages and resolve issues.
  • Storefront apps installed on Shopify — for example our product filter, bundle builder, reviews app, and size-guide app. Each app processes only the data it needs to function.
  • Social and advertising platforms (Meta/Instagram/Facebook, TikTok, Google/YouTube) — to show you ads relevant to you, and to measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalized ads in your account settings on each platform.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — when required by law, to comply with court orders, enforce our terms, or protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Successors — if Fit Tribe is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll let you know in advance.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Like most online stores, we use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, web beacons, software development kits) to:

  • Remember items in your cart and your account session
  • Save your language, currency, and accessibility preferences
  • Measure how the Site performs
  • Show you relevant ads on social platforms and Google
  • Detect fraud and protect your account

You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers allow you to block, delete, or be notified about cookies. Blocking cookies may break parts of the Site (for example, your cart may not save). For more on Shopify's cookies, see shopify.com/legal/cookies.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes we collected it for, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations under Egyptian law. In general:

  • Order and tax records: kept for at least 5 years as required by Egyptian tax law.
  • Account information: kept while your account is active; deleted on request (see Section 8).
  • Marketing data: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Customer support messages: kept for up to 2 years to help us track recurring issues and improve service.

8. Your Rights

Under Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your information (subject to legal record-keeping requirements above).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on your consent.
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Lodge a complaint with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center if you believe we've mishandled your information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@fittribeeg.com with your request and the email or phone number associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We aim to reply within 30 days.

You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or reply STOP to any marketing SMS.

9. How We Protect Your Information

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure payment processing through Shopify, and access controls on customer data. No system is 100% secure, but we do our best to keep your information safe. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@fittribeeg.com.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers — including Shopify, Google, Meta, and TikTok — process data on servers located outside Egypt. When this happens, we make sure those providers offer adequate data protection through contractual safeguards and compliance with international standards.

11. Children's Privacy

Fit Tribe is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at support@fittribeeg.com and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to other websites and platforms (e.g. our Instagram, TikTok, courier tracking pages, payment processors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies before sharing your information with them.
